BTS member, Suga, will be releasing his solo album. The plan
to release a solo album titled D-Day has been confirmed by BIG HIT Music on
Monday 3 March 2023.
Based on Big Hit Music's upload, SUGA will release his
latest solo album titled D-Day on April 21, 2023. Previously, the launch of the
K-pop idol album Suga BTS began with a pre-release song which was released on
April 7, 2023. D-Day is the closing album of Suga's trilogy from previous
two albums. D-Day itself is Suga's journey album as Agust D which describes his
life journey as an artist.
Suga is the 5th BTS member to release his solo album, after
J-Hope, RM, and Jimin, as well as Jin who released his solo single right before
enlisting in the military. The album titled 'D-DAY' will be his first official
solo album under the name Agust D, following the mixtapes "Agust D"
in 2016 and "D-2" in 2020. The album D-DAY will be released alongside
Suga's documentary film titled 'SUGA: Road to D-DAY' via the Disney+ and
Weverse platforms.
Ahead of the release of D-Day and its documentary, Suga
released the lead single from the album. Suga BTS collaborated with IU to
launch a single titled People Pt.2. People Pt. 2 is a song with a boom-bap beat
that captures the harmony of Suga's relaxed rapping and IU's elegant vocals.
This song is not the first time Suga and IU have collaborated. Previously, they
released the single Eight in 2020.
Apart from singles, albums, and documentaries, Suga will
also embark on his world tour titled 'SUGA | Agust D-DAY TOUR'. The tour will
start in America (Belmont Park, Newark, Rosemont, Los Angeles, Oakland), then
continue in Asia including Indonesia, Bangkok, Singapore, Japan and Korea. The
Suga BTS concert in Indonesia will be held for three days, namely May 26-28
2023 at ICE BSD (Indonesia Convention Exhibition) Hall 5-6.
